Dear DMC,
Excitment overhead. The kind of excitement we like: Safe Excitement.
It is bit like looking at the surface of a choppy sea from beloe, said Gavin Pretor-Pinney, founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society. Pretor-Pinney first identitied the cloud from photos sent in by the society’s cloud spotting members.
The new cloud has been named “Asperatus,” after the Latin word for rough, by the Royal Meteorological Society.
