Safe Excitement #36: charging car battery

I returned to the U.K. yesterday. I was lucky. I was one day ahead of the Iceland ashes. It’s great to be back. Spring — with its daffodils — is here now.

All was in order here except for one thing. I had been gone so long that my car’s battery had died. I phoned the RAC. Their serviceman arrived in 15 mintes and jump started my car. Then we let the car run for half an hour so its battery would charge back up.

As we were waiting, the serviceman said something that has given us Safe Excitement #36. He said, “This is duller than watching paint dry.”
