The first webcam in the world was the Cambridge Coffee Pot Cam.

Sadly, it was unplugged in 2001 due to a switch in preferences to take out green tea.  It still lingers in the DMC website graveyard.  Click here to get to the graveyard to read about the Coffee Pot Cam and to read the death notice.
